Grant of Statehood to Cortesia Del Mar (CDM)

This document outlines the grant of autonomy of Cortesia Del Mar (CDM) as a State under the Icenian Constitution, Article VIII.

Governance & Compliance

Cortesia Del Mar is to be governed by its Cabinet, which consists of members democratically appointed by state citizens under the Cortesian Constitution.

Cortesia Del Mar is governed in accordance with its Constitution.

Claims & Holdings

Cortesia Del Mar will operate within the territory below:

Cortesia Del Mar is the implicit owner of all infrastructure, military, industrial, or otherwise, within its borders. All future construction is to be approved by the Cabinet.

Cortesia Del Mar may engage in negotiations to adjust or amend its borders without immediate notice to Icenia, or amendment to this document.

Secession

Cortesia Del Mar shall be granted, as an “additional subject” under Article VIII (a) of the Constitution, the power to secede from Icenia via a Cortesian national referendum as outlined by its constitution.

Cortesia Del Mar will automatically secede should this secession clause be repealed.

Cortesia Del Mar will automatically secede should it be dissolved under Article VIII (c) of the Icenian Constitution.

• Cortesia Del Mar reserves the right to import & export openly to the international market, without taxation or regulation.
